A little about my professional path
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and have lived in St. Louis nearly my entire life, surrounded by a large family that I remain very close to, and friends that are simply an extension of family. I attended college at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and the University of Missouri—Columbia (MIZ…ZOU!) and earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
During college, I was fortunate enough to be awarded an internship at a large national retailer and earned a full-time Marketing position there immediately upon graduation. I directed the Marketing Department for a 365-store menswear division including promotional/marketing campaigns, photo shoots, and store presentation. My role there allowed me to travel to hundreds of cities throughout the United States. After five years in that position, I was offered a position at an Advertising Agency as an Account Executive that specialized in branding, promotions, direct mail, and media buying for a variety of national restaurants and retailers. It afforded me the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of different types of industries.
While at the agency, I met my husband and after we were married for a year, and then the birth of our first child, I decided to take a short (10 year!) break from my career to raise my four children. I was never able to completely stay away from my work, and was retained by a local restaurant to direct their marketing and promotional efforts. It allowed me to stay current in the marketing world while still being available for our children.
When my youngest child started school, I founded a small business of my own–an appointment setting service called Gatebreakers where I achieved great success, serving as a solid support role to a sales team in the legal industry that focused on website development and internet marketing. In this role, I crossed paths with the current Planet Depos Director of Sales, Jennifer Parratt. I later earned my real estate license and while growing my appointment setting business and dabbling in real estate, I received a call from Jennifer Parratt that changed my life! She introduced me to the amazing Planet Depos family and gave me an opportunity in an Account Executive role. After settling in for nearly four amazing years, I feel like this position was made for me! I pride myself on being hardworking and resourceful and the Planet Depos mantra could not be more fitting to my personal business model—“We Make It Happen”. I tell my clients regularly that what I like most about Planet Depos is that the company treats me as well as they treat my customers. The team shares in my personal goal to approach my customers from a sincere place of service. My clients and customers are paramount, and I believe they would all agree that I try to practice that with every interaction.
I hit the husband jackpot when I married Daren. I immediately knew what a kind and gentle man he was, but he continues to spiritually guide our family and take the role of best playmate to each of our kids…no matter their age. Together we are raising four children – Kinley (23) who is an elementary school teacher and a natural leader who makes us proud by continually exceeding her personal and professional goals. Daulton (21) is a senior in college at Mizzou and is a dedicated, hardworking young man whose determination will undoubtedly lead him to success in business. Easton (18) is a freshman in college at Mizzou who makes us laugh, but is excellent at balancing the serious demands of his studies with a little bit of college fun; and then our youngest, Campbell (16) who is a high school cheerleader and has a busier social life than us, but she has always been an A+ student and kind and gentle soul! We share a love of baseball, the beach, traveling, and dining out. We also love spending time together with our extended family and our Boxer, Louie–and have been blessed with healthy, happy and fun-filled lives.

Suzanne is always prompt in her responses for all the depositions we have in our cases that were conducted via Zoom. Her professionalism and courtesy is very much appreciated. We felt we were in good hands when it came to making changes or rescheduling depositions on the fly.

I have enjoyed working with Suzanne and Planet Depos for the past 2 years or so. I always want Planet Depos for any depositions we schedule out of town, and they have done a great job on those depositions. Suzanne is very knowledgeable, efficient and a gem to work with. If I have any questions, she’s the one I always contact. She’s a real asset for Planet Depos.

Suzanne Sweeten is completely amazing! She has always gone above and beyond with all my request. She was great with several of my attorneys walking them through many questions concerning virtual depositions and arbitration hearing when they were a bit reluctant. The entire Planet Depos staff is the best and there is always a worry-free factor when I schedule with Suzanne and Planet Depos. She certainly made the challenges of 2020 much easier for me to do my job in supporting my attorneys.

I reached out to Planet Depos many years ago for assistance with scheduling an international deposition. I was, and still am, truly impressed with their ability to handle any obstacle – even a last-minute 2:00 am depo! From that day on, Suzanne Sweeten has proven she’s up for any challenge. When the pandemic began, she was an irreplaceable resource to have ensuring our remote depositions continued without interruption. Suzanne is a joy to work with and I look forward to many more years!
