Litigation and Court Reporting
Services in Tokyo
Depositions in Tokyo must take place at the U.S. Embassy, after first coordinating with the Embassy directly to obtain permission pursuant a commission or court order, and to reserve the deposition room. Scheduling in Tokyo requires flexibility, as the Embassy may suggest alternate dates to the ones you initially request. There is only one deposition room available Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:00pm, and attendance is limited to five people, including the court reporting team. Witnesses must attend in-person, but other participants may attend remotely. Traveling to Tokyo for a deposition requires a Special Deposition Visa. For more information, request complimentary access to our International Deposition Guide or reach out to us.
