My Story
How I Began My Journey
I was born and raised in the small town of State College, PA. My first job was making cheesesteaks, and my favorite part was the customer interaction — the free cheesesteaks didn’t hurt either! I went on to attend Penn State University – We Are! – while working full time. I am very proud to say, that with a lot of hard work and support, I am the first person in my family to graduate college.
I found out at an early age that people are my passion. Everyone has a story and I love listening. I knew that if I was going to be successful in life, my “Why” would have to be about what I love – people.
This “Why” brought me to my first job out of college, where I sold eDiscovery as an Account Manager for a large regional player in Washington, DC and California. Later, I went to work for Apple, in the role of a Business Manager, selling computers to companies. I was lucky to gain some of the best customer focused training in the world, and to this day, I continue down the path of forward thinking along with a “never settle” attitude. I do whatever it takes to make it happen for my clients.
The Home Project That Brought Me To Planet Depos
In what feels like a lifetime ago, my wife, oldest daughter, and I were living in NE, DC. Among the many issues in this old house, was a faucet that suddenly decided to explode. After realizing I was in over my head trying to fix it, I enlisted a friend’s help, in exchange for the Capital’s best Italian hoagie at A. Literi’s. While waiting in line, I spotted Billy DiMonte, Managing Partner and one of the founders of Planet Depos – this man knows a good sandwich. As past acquaintances from working within the DC legal market, we began chatting and agreed to have drinks later that week to discuss a potential opportunity. Over drinks we talked about life, goals, family, and our “Why”. Everything aligned, and on a leap of faith, I decided to take the plunge into the deposition jungle.
I have been with the company now for almost eight years and carry on the same mission I always have – to build relationships, earn your trust, and, hopefully, your business.
Our clients become part of both the Planet Depos and my own family. Every interaction matters to me, every “client ask” matters to me, and I pride myself on being the most responsive and hardest working customer service representative that I can be, every day. In addition, I always strive to be better and actively seek feedback.
My Family
I have a rock star wife, Laura, who I am very proud of and offers me unwavering support in my quest to constantly be better in every aspect of my life. We live in Virginia and have three fantastic kids – Cora, Grace, and Jack. I also strive to teach them that no matter what they do, to try and be the best they can be, and to realize at the center of everything is people and our relationships.
Hobbies
I am a die hard college football fan! My family and I also enjoy making our own pizzas on Friday night, and on the weekend, I love experimenting on my Big Green Egg. I enjoy coaching my oldest daughter in Softball and when I get time, you can find me playing Pinball while listening to classic rock!

I have had the pleasure of working with Matt over the past six years. Matt is dedicated to providing the best quality service him and Planet Depos can offer. He routinely goes out of his way to make the impossible happen. More recently, I worked with Matt on a major litigation with over 150 depositions over the course of six months. He made sure every email was answered as quickly as possible. If I sent him a last minute request to expedite a transcript, he made sure to let me know he received my email and was looking into it. Additionally, when it came time for this litigation to go to trial, Matt made (what I thought to be was the impossible) happen. I sent him an email at 6:30pm on a Friday night requesting a court reporter for a Saturday hearing. Shortly thereafter I received an email letting me know a court reporter had been booked and would be at our hearing the following day. The quality of his service even drew the attention of opposing counsel who ended up reaching out to book court reporting for their upcoming depositions. I can’t speak highly enough of Matt’s professionalism and dedication to his clients. Not only does he engage each client to identify their case teams needs, but he also develops relationships with each person. He truly makes his clients feel special by recognizing personal events such as birthdays, promotions, etc. Matt is a wonderful asset to Planet Depos, and I will continue to use him for years to come.
